Riverfront Ramble

5^th Annual Riverfront Ramble, Delaware County, PA

The 5th Annual Riverfront Ramble will be held on Saturday September 20, 2008 (rain date is September 21).

Some highlights of this years Riverfront Ramble will of course be the Car Shows (a Smart Car will also be on display), Pirate Encampment, Concerts, Dining on the Delaware and of course Fireworks to top it all off! The Car Show at the park will be starting at 1 PM and concluding around 9 PM after the Fireworks at Governor Printz Park. You are free to leave whenever you like.

The park is located at W. 2^nd Street and Taylor Ave. Essington, PA 19029.

Again this year, The Delco Cruisers, a local "all inclusive" car club will be joining us in the park.

As of now, we will have Dash Plaques but no trophies. We are still looking for a sponsor.

At our location, there will be a Pirate Encampment, pony rides (for a small fee) and other children’s activities along with food and music throughout the day & evening.

A number of Sailing Ships will visit all of the event locations during the day.

There will be a live band concert in the evening leading up to the Fireworks at 8:45 PM.

Free shuttle busses will take you to the other locations so you can enjoy all of activities offered.

Directions to Governor Printz Park

Comm. Barry Bridge and Points South

If you are taking the Comm. Barry Bridge you would head North on I-95 to the Essington exit, Exit 9A. Once coming off the exit bear right, PA-420 South and cross over PA-291. Continue to the dead end (A sign for The Lagoon with an arrow will be on the building in front of you)

Turn right at the end and then you will see the Lagoon entrances on the left. Governor Printz Park entrance is just past the Lagoon entrances on the left. The park is about 1 mile from the I-95 exit.

Walt Whitman Bridge & Points North & East

Keep to the right approaching the toll booths on the down side of the bridge ($3 if you don’t have EZ-Pass)

As soon as you get through the toll booths, the I-95 exit is to the right.

Take I-95 South past the airport exits and take Exit 9A – PA-420 South/Essington.

Stay on PA-420 South, cross over PA-291 (traffic light) and continue to the end.

Turn right at the end and then you will see the Lagoon entrances on the left. Governor Printz Park entrance is just past the Lagoon entrances on the left. The park is about 1 mile from the I-95 exit.

I-476 and Points West & North

Take I-476 South to I-95 North and follow the directions for “Comm. Barry Bridge and Points South”
