Tribute to Bob Castronova "Def"

|
Bob's wife Judy, played this song at his service as she felt this was the message Bob would have like to say to everyone...
"I Hope You Dance"
Lee Ann Womack
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give fate the fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances but they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake but it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out reconsider
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder)
I hope you dance
(Where those years have gone)
I hope you still feel small when you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give faith the fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
Dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder)
I hope you dance
(Where those years have gone)
(Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder)
I hope you dance
(Where those years have gone)
Monday, April 5, 2004 was a sad day for not only the local, but the entire PT Cruiser Community with the passing of Bob Castronova (aka DEF on the PT forums) from a heart attack at home.
Bob and Judy have put together many great PT events over the last two years, such as the 2003 Wheels & Wings event in Millville with the Blue Angels and the Canadian Snowbirds, The Readington Balloon Fest, Shore Thing and many other events in New Jersey.
The Del Val PT Cruisers, out of respect for Bob, have decided to postpone the Second Annual Spring Rally, scheduled for April 25, and combine it with the PT Picnic on Aug 8th 2004. This will allow everyone to pay tribute in his honor at the Wheels and Wings show May 1, 2004, in which he was working hard on at the time of his death. We felt a week off to spend time and family would help us all to get together at Wings and Wheels Show on the weekend of April 30-May 1.
The New Jersey Cruisers have canceled the Zoo Cruise, scheduled for May 2 for the above reasons.
The Zoo Cruise may be rescheduled for the Fall.
We hope that you may be able to attend the Wheels and Wings Show in honor of Bob and Judy and all of the hard work that goes into an event.
The Del Val PT Cruisers will be donating, for all who attend, Black and Purple Ribbons to wear in Memory of Def.
More info can be found here on the event: http://www.newjerseycruise.com/wheelsandwings.html Or you may go to http://www.newjerseycruise.com/gr.html and download the registration form

Last year there were 85 PT Cruisers at the event. It would be nice to double that this year.
I would like to pass
along an idea started on the PT Enthusiasts, by cruizin2k and Big Khauna.
Have the entire PT Community drive with there headlights on as a special
tribute to Bob.
He was a shining light to us... so lets light up the earth for him this week
so he can look down and know we are thinking of him...
It's a tremendous idea, won't you please join me and the rest in this touching
tribute to BOB!
Our heart and prayers go out to Judy and their Family
Def will be missed by the entire PT Community!
